Non Executive Directors – Northern Ireland Ambulance Service

The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety is seeking to appoint three non-executive Directors (one with specific financial experience) to the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.
The functions of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) are to provide goods and services for the purposes of health and social care and, in particular, to provide and manage ambulance and associated services; and such other services as can reasonably be carried out in conjunction with the associated services.  Its mission is to ‘deliver effective and efficient care to people in need and improve the health and well-being of the community through the delivery of high quality ambulance services’.

Essential Criteria for all applicants

The non-executive directors require no specific qualifications, however all applicants must meet the following four essential criteria:
Business Sense; Corporate Governance; Stakeholder Engagement; Self Awareness and Personal Contribution.

Applicants for the non-executive director post with specific financial experience must meet the following additional criteria: financial.
Remuneration – £5,962 per annum            Time Commitment – 3 days per month
