Helping To Shape The Future Of Housing In Northern Ireland
The Board of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive is responsible to the Department for Social Development for the efficient, effective and economic delivery of the Housing Executive’s housing services. It determines the Housing Executive’s policies within its overall aims and objectives and makes decisions on operational and organisational strategies. The Department for Social Development is now seeking to appoint 3 members to the Board.
The future structure and role of the Housing Executive is currently being considered by the Department for Social Development’s Social Housing Reform Programme. There is therefore potentially a unique opportunity through these appointments to help lead the Housing Executive through a period of fundamental change.
- The term of appointment will be from 1 June 2015 for up to 5 years or until such other date as the Department may determine, taking account of the implementation of a new service delivery model. Time commitment amounts to attendance at monthly Board meetings and other meetings as arranged. The positions are remunerated at £6,740 per annum in addition to travel and subsistence costs incurred on Board business.
