Extra Care is a not for profit voluntary organisation formed in 1935 and recognised as a charity. We are registered with RQIA as a Domiciliary Care Provider and Nursing Agency.
Extra Care is overseen by its voluntary Board of Directors/Trustees. We are the largest independent provider of care in Northern Ireland and have almost 80 years experience in the management and delivery of a full range of community based home care and nursing services. Our services, which are available 24/7, aim to provide older people, dependent adults and children with a disability or illness, the choice to remain living at home with dignity.
We are seeking to recruit Board members who would espouse and understand our aims and objectives and who have skills, knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Chairing Boards, Committees etc
- Clinical, Health and Social Care
- Organisational Governance
- Human Resources
- Strategic Planning
- Property/Facilities Management
- Communications, Marketing and PR
- Information Technology
- General and/or Operational Management
