It is the role of the Independent Review Panel to review the decisions taken by the Steering Committee to ensure that they are reasonable and in accordance with agreed procedures. The Independent Review Panels are held when needed and this is not anticipated to be more than once every two months.
Formal qualifications are not required but experience in at least three of the following areas is required: working in a committee environment, experience dealing with legal issues, experience dealing with public administration, experience of objective decision making and experience of taking project investment decisions.
Please note, there is no payment for these posts but reasonable expenses incurred to attend these panels will be paid at approved rates. Training will be provided.
