The transformation of Belfast as a destination of choice for global business tourists is being spearheaded by the creation of Belfast Waterfront and Ulster Hall Limited (BWUHL). This pioneering and distinctive new venture will be instrumental in attracting business to the city, and delivering a mix of commercial and social outcomes – many of which will add value to BWUHL’s wider network of partners.
We are now recruiting a Chair and four non-executive directors who will form the Board and govern this new commercial venture in a way that ensures the delivery of exciting and testing business objectives. Commercial depth, entrepreneurial in managing risk, and a collegiate approach to governing are all core requirements of the new Board members. BWUHL will operate at pace on the global stage.
The new company is a Council owned trading company limited by shares. The Council is the shareholder and the Board will be made up of business people with a variety of skills. A new Managing Director, who will report to the Board is currently being recruited.
These positions therefore represent a fantastic opportunity for business professionals who have a track record of building commercial value through vision, flair, vibrancy and the conversion of business intelligence into business success.
We are looking to recruit a Board that is balanced and reflects the diversity of the communities within which BWUHL will operate. So if you are a driven business professional with a focus on leading edge activity, let’s speak!
