Member to the Board of Ulster Supported Employment Ltd (USEL) NI

The Department for Communities is seeking to appoint a new Member to the Board of USEL.

USEL’s vision is “To be the lead provider in helping people with disabilities gain employment”. It is the largest supporter of people with disabilities within Northern Ireland with offices in Belfast, Londonderry, Portadown and Omagh. Each year the company supports over 1500 people with disabilities in more than 750 companies to enter and sustain economic employment through its various employment programmes. 

  • remuneration: Board members received remuneration of £135 for each board meeting attended. Travel and subsistence allowances for official business will be payable. Any extra work undertaken will be paid at an hourly rate.
  • period of appointment: The appointment is for up to 3 years commencing from 1 January 2017.
  • time commitment: The time commitment is attendance at approximately board 11 meetings per year, plus other ad-hoc activities and attendance at any board member training. Board meetings are normally held at USEL’s Head Office, Cambrai Street, Belfast.
