Victim Support NI is a voluntary organisation which helps people affected by crime. It provides a free and confidential service and each year, Victim Support NI offers help to over 55,000 people who have been affected by crime. The organisation offers practical and emotional support through its Community Service for those trying to deal with being a victim of crime, while the Witness Service takes witnesses, victims and their families through the court procedure when involved in a criminal trial. The organisation is seeking to recruit three new Trustees to its Board.
The role of the Board Members is to contribute to the effective governance of Victim Support NI in promoting its aims/objectives. Victim Support NI is seeking to recruit three new voluntary members to its Board of Trustees. We are looking for individuals with a background in the private, public or voluntary sectors with a range of skills and experience, but particularly in the following areas: Public Relations, Fundraising, Business Development, IT or Social Care. While positions are unremunerated, out-of-pocket expenses will be paid.
