Board Members wanted by NI Screen

The Department for the Economy is seeking to appoint nine new members to the board of NI Screen.

You will need to demonstrate one specialist skill from this list of eight:

  • high-end television and film production
  • television, independent film and animation production
  • game development
  • Irish language, culture and heritage
  • Ulster-Scots language, culture and heritage
  • digital transformation of education
  • financial management
  • film or screen culture

If shortlisted for interview, you will be asked questions on your chosen skill plus two other general skills.  


  • remuneration:  none, but travel and subsistence rates may be payable
  • time commitment: expected to attend board meetings and sub-committees of the board totalling approximately 16 days per year (there are also invitations to attend other events, including occasional evening engagements)
  • board meetings are sometimes held at various venues throughout Northern Ireland
  • period of appointment: will vary between three and five years, with five appointments starting on 1 June 2018 and the other four on 1 September 2018 (dates to be confirmed)
  • these appointments are regulated by CPA NI
