Alpha Housing searching for voluntary board members

Alpha Housing is helping pioneer the next generation of housing for older people in NI. Can you join us in this mission as a voluntary board member?

Alpha is a housing association and social enterprise with nearly 1,000 homes across Northern Ireland, mainly for older people. We employ 70 people and have a turnover of £5.5million. Our offices are at Duncrue in the Belfast Harbour estate.

Now entering a new phase of development, Alpha is committed to building new homes to meet the changing needs of older people, as well as providing high-quality accommodation and support to residents in our existing sheltered housing.

To help us fulfil these exciting ambitions, Alpha is seeking new high calibre board members. Financial expertise and/or knowledge of property development is particularly sought after, although candidates with other backgrounds may be considered. The likely time commitment for new board members is approximately 2-3 hours per month. Although these are voluntary, unpaid roles, reasonable travel and subsistence expenses will be reimbursed.

Application is by submission of CV and a covering letter outlining why you are interested in the role and what you can offer. These should be received by Chief Executive Cameron Watt by noon on Monday 30th April. If you might be interested, in the first instance, please contact Cameron for an initial conversation – cameron.watt@alphahousingni.org 028 9078 7754.
