“Are you interested in contributing to Employment Relations in Northern Ireland?”
The Department for the Economy is seeking to recruit four new Members to the Board of the Labour Relations Agency (LRA), a non-departmental public body with responsibility for promoting the improvement of employment relations in Northern Ireland. The LRA contributes to organisational effectiveness by providing impartial and independent services for promoting good employment practices and preventing and resolving disputes.
- Four Board Members are required:
- Two with an Employer Representative background,
- One with an Employee Representative background and;
- One with an Independent background.
- Remuneration is £5,643 per annum plus expenses in line with Northern Ireland Civil Service terms and conditions.
The Board Members will be expected to attend for at least one day per month. Meetings will mainly be held in the Greater Belfast area.
The appointments are effective from 1 April 2023 for a three-year term.
No academic qualifications are required for the post. Appointment will be made on merit from those individuals who best satisfy the criteria.
The Department for the Economy would particularly welcome applications from females, people with a disability, those from ethnic minorities and young people as they are all currently under-represented and applications from these groups would be particularly welcome.
