Craft NI is seeking to appoint a new Chairperson to its Board. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the arts, understands the benefits they bring for the individual and the wider community, who is willing to undertake the responsibilities of a Chairperson and wants to help shape the future of contemporary craft in Northern Ireland.
The Chairperson will be instrumental in helping Craft NI in its mission “To build an integrated, entrepreneurial and vibrant contemporary crafts industry in Northern Ireland, actively supported by regional and local stakeholders, that contributes increasingly to the creative, cultural and economic life of Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland’s main disability sport charity, Disability Sport NI, is looking for enthusiastic and committed board members with an interest in sport and active recreation and with the skills and experience necessary to make a positive contribution to the further development of the organisation.
The charity believes that every person with a disability has the right to participate in all aspects of life and are committed to building a more inclusive society where people with disabilities have the same opportunity as non disabled people to lead a full, active and healthy lifestyle through sport and active recreation. The Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL) is seeking to appoint a vice chair and a number of members to the board of the Arts Council NI.
The Arts Council NI is the lead development agency for the arts here and is the main support for artists and arts organisations, offering a broad range of funding opportunities through Exchequer and National Lottery funds.
- remuneration: vice chair – £3,500 per annum / members – travel and subsistence allowances only
