Chair and Members sought for Historic Buildings Council

The Department for Communities invites applications for the appointment of a Chair and 7 Members to HBC.

The role of the Council is to provide independent advice to the Department on the listing of buildings, the general state of listed buildings and other matters related to their preservation. This is an opportunity for individuals to make a significant contribution to Northern Ireland’s historic environment.

Applications are welcome from a wide range of people who have an interest in public service, including those with experiences such as community involvement or charitable and voluntary work. We would particularly welcome applications from women, people with a disability, young people and people from minority ethnic groups for these positions. A Guaranteed Interview Scheme is in place for those applicants with a disability.

Non Executive Directors – Disclosure and Barring Service

The Disclosure and Barring Service is seeking two non-executive board members.

Remuneration

This is £12,000 a year, based on 20 days’ attendance.

Period of appointment

This will be a three-year appointment with the possibility of re-appointment.

Time commitment

Twenty days a year (possibly up to 30 days).

Panel Chairs – National Referral Mechanism Independent Multi-Agency Assurance

Do you want to play a role in tackling the evil of modern slavery and supporting victims regain control of their lives?

 If so, you can do this by becoming a Chair of one of the Government’s independent multi-agency assurance panels, which form a key part of the Government’s programme of work to improve the way we identify and support victims of modern slavery.
