The Boardroom Apprentice 2018 is now open for applications
The Boardroom Apprentice is 12-month board training and placement programme to encourage new people to come forward to give their time and share their skills with our third and public-sector boards. It is built on three core pillars:
- Provision of a 12-month Board Apprentice placement to gain experience
- The transfer of knowledge and learning to the Boardroom Apprentice through the delivery of a suite of training
- Support for the Boardroom Apprentice through an assigned board buddy
The Department of Health is seeking to appoint a Non-Executive Chair and a Non-Executive Finance Member to the Northern Ireland Guardian Ad Litem Special Health & Social Care Agency (NIGALA).
The appointments will take effect from September 2018. This is an exceptional opportunity to share your talents and expertise, and to make a positive difference to the lives of people in Northern Ireland. The positions provide an important leadership and accountability role, and whilst challenging, they provide the opportunity to shape and drive the delivery of essential services for citizens across NI. Radius Housing was formed in 2017 through the coming together of Helm and Fold Housing Associations. Radius provides quality and affordable social housing in 80 towns and cities throughout Northern Ireland. We provide sheltered housing for the over 55’s and general needs housing for families and single people. We also offer a range of specialist care and support facilities for the frail, elderly, people with dementia and learning disabilities and other complex needs. The SEHSCT is one of five HSC Trusts established in 2007 responsible for the delivery of responsive and effective health and care services and for the ownership and management of hospitals and other establishments and facilities. Each HSC Trust in Northern Ireland is managed directly by a Board of Directors which has corporate responsibility for its operation. The Board of the SEHSCT is made up of five Executive Directors and seven Non-Executive Directors and a Non-Executive Chair.
