Member to the Board of Ulster Supported Employment Ltd (USEL) NI

The Department for Communities is seeking to appoint a new Member to the Board of USEL.

USEL’s vision is “To be the lead provider in helping people with disabilities gain employment”. It is the largest supporter of people with disabilities within Northern Ireland with offices in Belfast, Londonderry, Portadown and Omagh. Each year the company supports over 1500 people with disabilities in more than 750 companies to enter and sustain economic employment through its various employment programmes.  Continue reading

WANTED:Board Members for Stepping Stones NI

Looking to give something back to your community? Would you like to be part of an organisation that supports people with learning disabilities and learning difficulties to achieve their potential?  Have you a passion for social enterprise and making an impact? Then you could be a potential board member of Stepping Stones NI.

Stepping Stones NI are seeking to recruit new members to our Board.  We are keen to enhance our Board and to attract new members who are committed to our values and organisation goals.

In particular we are keen to receive applications from those with backgrounds in:  finance and accountancy, leadership roles in the voluntary community sector, entrepreneurial and business, social enterprise and PR and marketing.

This is a voluntary position and is subject to vetting through the Access NI process.  You will be expected to attend around 5 board meetings per year and get involved in and subcommittee work if you can.

To ensure gender balance applications are particular welcome from females.
