*Closes 15th March*

Rosie’s Trust is seeking to appoint a Treasurer/Trustee to oversee the monitoring of the charity’s finances on behalf of the Board of Trustees, reporting regularly on them to the Board, and making sure that money and property are properly managed.

A qualified accountant, the Treasurer/Trustee will ensure that bookkeeping, record keeping, and budgeting are done properly.

Established in 2015, Rosie’s Trust is Northern Ireland’s only charity dedicated to keeping people and their pets together when they need each other the most.

Cancer patients, the terminally ill and older people with a disability who live alone are often faced with a stark choice: to refuse medical treatment or to give up their pets, who may be their sole source of emotional support.

Rosie’s Trust prevents people from having to make that terrible choice. Our team of 150+ highly-trained volunteers care for our beneficiaries’ pets in their homes when they are no longer able to do so.  Typically, volunteers offer daily walks, play, feeding, grooming, administration of medication and/or vet visits.  We also provide foster care and will rehome our beneficiaries’ pets if they so wish.   We provide our services free of charge, 365 days of the year.

Our Board consists of 10 Trustees who meet online every month and occasionally in person.  Our meetings typically last 1.5 hours.
