The Department of Health is seeking to appoint 4 Council Members (3 X Local Government Representatives X 1 Lay Member) to the Patient & Client Council (PCC). The positions offer an exceptional opportunity for you to play a key role in helping to shape future health and social care systems in Northern Ireland. For this competition, the department would particularly welcome applications from women, young people, people with disabilities and people from minority ethnic communities who are currently under-represented in non-executive roles across the HSC.
About the PCC:
The PCC was established by the Health and Social Care (Reform) Act (NI) 2009 to facilitate that the ‘voice of patients, clients, carers and communities is valued, heard and acted upon’ in the development of policy on, and provision of, HSC services.
Applicants for these positions must on their application form, and if invited for interview, meet the following essential criteria: Strategic Thinking, Working Together, Corporate Governance & Accountability, Community Development (Local Government Representative position only)
