The Department has a range of devolved policing and justice functions as set out in the Northern Ireland Act 1998 (Devolution of Policing and Justice Functions) Order 2010. This recruitment competition is to fill vacancies for Non-Executive Board Members (NEBMs) of the Department’s Management Board and for three of its agencies; Northern Ireland Prison Service (NIPS), Forensic Science Northern Ireland (FSNI) and the Legal Services Agency Northern Ireland (LSANI).  Vacancies may also arise within these organisations or in any of the other DoJ Agencies (Youth Justice Agency and Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunals Service) within the lifetime of this competition and consideration will be given to filling any of those vacancies from this competition if the need arises.

We are seeking candidates who can meet the following criteria: Managing and Influencing Relationships; Strategic Focus; Corporate Governance and Organisational Leadership.

The time commitment is expected to be up to 15-20 days per year, dependent on the role offered, to include preparation for and attendance at meetings.
