What We’re Looking For

The board of the Institute for Conflict Research (ICR) are seeking to recruit up to 3 board members to help develop and grow the organisation to meet it’s strategic goals and objectives. The organisation has commissioned and will be beginning an independent review of the organisation and would like to take the opportunity to also develop its board alongside this review.

Currently the organisation has a total of 5 trustees which comprises a chairperson, secretary, treasurer and 2 trustees. We are looking to further expand on our board to future proof the organisation and bring in valuable experience and knowledge that would help the organisation deliver on its key objectives.

The Boardroom Apprentice 2018 is now open for applications

The Boardroom Apprentice is 12-month board training and placement programme to encourage new people to come forward to give their time and share their skills with our third and public-sector boards. It is built on three core pillars:

  1. Provision of a 12-month Board Apprentice placement to gain experience
  2. The transfer of knowledge and learning to the Boardroom Apprentice through the delivery of a suite of training
  3. Support for the Boardroom Apprentice through an assigned board buddy

We are seeking two Voluntary Board Members to join a diverse and committed team working cooperatively at governance and strategic level.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO PEOPLE HARMED BY CRIME?

Victim Support NI is a voluntary organisation which helps people affected by crime. It provides a free and confidential service and each year, Victim Support NI offers help to over 55,000 people who have been affected by crime. The organisation offers practical and emotional support through its Community Service for those trying to deal with being a victim of crime, while the Witness Service takes witnesses, victims and their families through the court procedure when involved in a criminal trial.
