Appointment of a Member to the Northern Ireland Local Government Officers’ Superannuation Committee (employer representative).

NILGOSC is a Non-Departmental Public Body sponsored by DfC. It plays an important role in the effective administration and management of the Local Government Pension Scheme (Northern Ireland) for local government and other admitted bodies in Northern Ireland. Scheme membership grew by 5.3% during 2023/24, bringing the total number of members to 169,490 at 31 March 2024. At 31 March 2024 there were 169 bodies contributing to the Scheme.

Applications are welcome from a wide range of people who have an interest in public service, including those who are looking for an opportunity to use their skills and experience. We would particularly welcome applications from women, people with a disability, young people and people from minority ethnic groups for these positions. A Guaranteed Interview Scheme is in place for those applicants with a disability.
